StyleStack Privacy Policy
StyleStack helps users plan outfits and trips. This policy explains how data is handled in the app and backend services.
What data is sent for cloud AI suggestions
When you enable cloud AI suggestions in the app, StyleStack sends only text metadata required to generate recommendations: wardrobe attributes (category, color, brand, tags), trip inputs (destination, dates, duration), optional stylist inputs (occasion, dress code, weather text), locale, and technical request metadata (anonymous device id and request id).
StyleStack does not send your photos or image files to the AI provider for stylist/trip suggestion generation.
User permission
Before StyleStack sends personal data to a third-party AI provider, the app presents an in-app consent screen that explains what is sent, who receives it, and why. If consent is declined, StyleStack does not send that data to the AI provider and falls back to offline logic.
Who receives data
- StyleStack backend services running on Cloudflare Workers (request processing, authentication, abuse prevention).
- Google Gemini API (Google LLC), only when cloud AI suggestions are enabled by the user.
- Open-Meteo APIs for weather data requests related to trip planning.
How data is used
Data is used to generate outfit and trip suggestions, compute weather-aware packing guidance, and secure service operations (authorization, request tracing, and rate limiting).
Storage and retention
Wardrobe and trip content is primarily stored on-device in the app. Backend processing is request-scoped and limited to operational needs. Third-party providers process data under their own terms and safeguards.
Your controls
You can enable or disable cloud AI data sharing at any time from the in-app Settings section.
