Core promise: OralPilot processes your audio locally on your iPhone. When online coaching is enabled, OralPilot may send text only to a remote service to generate suggestions.

What OralPilot processes

Microphone audio: used for on-device speech recognition. Audio is not uploaded by default.
Transcript text: stored locally on your device to let you review sessions offline.
Optional online coaching text: if you enable it, OralPilot may send recent transcript text to generate live coaching cards.

On-device speech recognition

OralPilot uses Apple's Speech framework with on-device recognition only when available for your language. If on-device recognition is not available, OralPilot falls back to text-only input.

Online coaching (optional)

If online coaching is enabled and configured, OralPilot sends text only (no audio) to produce a response. You can enable a “prudent mode” that avoids automatic sending.

Data storage

Sessions, graphs, and transcripts are stored locally on your device. You can delete sessions from inside the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple (StoreKit). OralPilot receives entitlement status (Free/Pro) from Apple but does not receive your full payment details.
